FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I use this system with E85?
Yes, provided you select our [optional] stainless filter element and select E85 rated fuel pumps. At this time, you may use only AEM 50-1200 or the TI Automotive F90000267 fuel pumps in E85.

Should I select the FC2 or FC3 controller?
We suggest the FC2 for dual GSS342 or larger pumps used in a track only environment. The FC3 is recommended for large pumps in order to reduce fuel heating. Please contact us if you need assistance with your selection.

Why doesn't the Fore Innovations fuel pump module have a "basket" surrounding the pumps?
The basket is actually becomes a bottleneck in the system at lower fuel levels. The size of the basket is limited by the tank access opening and the depth of tank which is INSUFFICIENT in vehicles that have the ability to consume large amounts of fuel for more than 10-12 seconds. Due to the limitations of the Cherokee's large single sump tank, we ask that you treat 1/4 tank as empty when using this module.

Can I expect fuel smells when the car is sitting or running?
No. Our hermetic wire seals assures a 100% seal at the wire pass through (we actually seal the outside and inside of each individual conductor). As long as you select our PTFE fuel hose, you can expect fuel smells to be non-existent.

Is the Fore Innovations fuel system noisy?
Our module is far more quiet than any external pump. However, please keep in mind that larger pumps make more noise than smaller pumps; likewise, two pumps make more noise than one pump. Generally speaking, our module with a single turbine style pump will be inaudible in the typical customer's car that has an upgraded exhaust system. If you are sensitive to pump noise, we recommend a dissimilar pump setup, using the smallest possible pump for the primary. If you are unsure about pump selection, please contact us.
