The upgrade process is relatively straightforward. Before upgrading to a triple pump setup, ensure your current system is operating properly and efficiently. In most cases, a dual pump setup should be capable of 1000 whp on E85, so perhaps consider taking a closer look at how your current system is operating before upgrading to three pumps. We often see people wanting a triple upgrade with injectors that don't have the capacity for the third pump. (in that case, upgrade the injectors first)
You will need the following:
Additionally, we recommend the following:
- Replace the current pumps, as these are wear items. (new prefilters as well)
- Clean or replace the inline fuel filter
- Cartridge wrench set
Lastly, you need to make sure your current infrastructure is capable of supporting the third pump. You may need an electrical upgrade, upgraded lines, re-arrange the hose routing or fitting types/sizes, alternator and/or battery upgrade, and you may need provisions to stage the pumps. Please let us know if you have any questions.
